Enjoying some family time after Z's third birthday celebration has come to a close. We are thankful for friends to share special times with, and the loving family God has given us.

Paska Three
Wow. Three years ago tonight, I lay in a Long Island hospital having given birth to my second born, a son. And now today, we celebrate Z's (Paska) third birthday. Grandma and Grandpa gave him a ball and glove, along with a Canada jersey (yay!). He loves the gift, but will have to learn through his frustruations of figuring out how to catch and pick up a ball with his glove. He thinks you throw the ball from the glove as well. How proud he was, though, when he was finally able to catch the ball in his mitt!
A (Peanut) gave Z his first b-day present this morning: a tiny train set. He was thrilled. The two played with it together before church. Helping, sharing, bonding.
Mommy and Daddy gave his first guitar - a real one, made just for half-pints! His reaction? Totally excited. "Uncle" Ben and Daddy will be able to teach him to play now. He seems to have a natural leaning towards it. Although, Peanut knew the correct way to hold the guitar as well and was rather impressive while playing with it.
What directions and pathways will life take our two little children? Where will God guide them?
What a treasure to ponder the many memories I have stored each upon the other of these past few years. They are worth all the sleepless nights in the world.
