All is quiet at the moment. I am enjoying this as I know it will not last but another minute or two. Z-man's speech therapist will soon be here. A time of day he looks forward to with much anticipation. Miss H is wonderful! Even our cat, who tends to hide from everyone else, likes Miss H...
The past week has brought with it an explosion of crafts. While A has always enjoyed creating and will often create something from her imagination, Z-man tends to need more encouraging and models to copy. However, this past week something has changed and he has developed an insatiable desire to create. Lovin' it! Although some of his creations have been modeled after his older sister's crafts, the 'Wallee' family was his 'idea' after seeing it in a magazine. So now I have staring at me from our dining room windowsill King Wallee, Queen Walleemina, Prince Wallee, Prince Tallee and Baby Princess Illee. I must say they are rather adorable. Even Daddy took five minutes before heading out for a meeting to make one with us last night.

By the way, I love this magazine (Disney's Family Fun). It's filled with easy crafts the kids can make either on their own or with my help. It's certainly a magazine worth ordering (or if you'd rather, it can be viewed online. I, however, tend to prefer the actually feel of the pages of a craft magazine in my hands than simply view them online).
Today, our creation consisited of making coloured nutty ice cube garland made from those little trays that are inside the boxes of chocolate. Once frozen, the cubes will be linked together with twine that we'll then drape on the empty branches of our little Japanese Maple Tree in the front of our house. However, with this mild winter I'm guessing the garland won't remain for long! We're hoping the squirrels will gather the nuts once they begin to melt and the birds collect the twine for their nests.
